The ICC will leverage the ICC’s first-of-its-kind vertical feed coverage to create highlights tailored for hundreds of millions of fans that access content on a mobile phone and will be available to access on the App, website and ICC’s Meta channels.

The ICC’s new broadcast channels on WhatsApp and Instagram will be a great source of the latest news and videos, making it easier for people to be connected with the World Cup. Fans will get match highlights, breaking team news and the best viral videos delivered in a way that’s easy to share with friends and family.

As part of our mission to grow the game, the ICC has worked with Meta to partner with more than 500 creators across India to bring the event to new audiences. Reels content creators from across India will be given exclusive access at matches to create content in their unique style. Every match will have a local creator in attendance so that content is produced in the local language and style.

For the first time, the ICC Website and App will have individual highlights of every player involved in the event, meaning after each game fans will be able to catch up on their favourite player’s performances. Fans will also be brought closer to the crease, with fielding positions available in real time alongside a new and improved VR shot tracker.

Through the Next-In Hackathon in partnership with Nium, a brand-new initiative will be available on the App later in the tournament, with the winning entry allowing users to place the stadium in their living room through 3D Augmented Reality enhancing the live cricket viewing experience.

With the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 sure to deliver many unforgettable moments, fans will again be able to own their individual part of history as Digital Collectibles with our partner FanCraze.

Those looking to put their cricket knowledge to the test will be able to do so through the official Fantasy Game – Disney+ Hotstar Dream 11 – with fans picking their own teams and competing against their friends for glory.

And regardless of their team’s result, fans will be able to play key moments from Cricket World Cups past and present themselves in the Official ICC Cricket Mobile Game, presented by Star.

As the tournament progresses, we’ll also launch a new pre-match strategy challenge – Captain’s Call – powered by Blockchain Partner NEAR’s Operating System. This will enable fans to test their cricket knowledge against others to show their understanding of the sport and be in the running to win an array of prizes. As fans are always at the heart of everything we do, throughout the event, ICC will be rewarding with the most passionate members of the ICC Family with exclusive real-world experiences.

ICC Head of Digital, Finn Bradshaw said, “The ICC’s digital offering for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup will be bigger and better than ever before. Years of planning have culminated in an array of experiences tailored for people across the world. We can’t wait to bring hundreds of millions of fans closer than they’ve ever been to a cricket event before.”

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 gets underway in the world’s biggest cricket stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on October 5 as defending champions England take on 2019 runners-up New Zealand.
