The 2nd One Day International (ODI) match of the series between India vs New Zealand will be played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on 25th October 2017. This will be also a day-night match. After suffering high humidity and temperature at Mumbai, New Zealand team will feel comfortable at Pune. Humidity will be around 30% with 33ºC.

India has lost 1st ODI by 6 wickets. India looked weak in the batting order, only the captain was able to capitalize the start and were short of 20-30 runs to the par score. Bowling department looked helpless after good start bringing New Zealand to 80/3 in 18th over. But later Indian bowlers looked helpless to break the partnership of Ross Taylor and Tom Latham. Spinners were unable to dominate in the middle overs and allowed them to rotate strikes, which helped them to settle down. Some changes can be seen in the team, Ajinkya Rahane can replace Shikhar Dhawan at the top and Manish Pandey can come in for Kedar Jadhav. While in the bowling department Axar Patel can replace Yuzvendra Chahal.

New Zealand bowlers were consistent in taking wickets which doesn’t allow any partnership to build up. While batting, they lost 3 successive wickets but 200 runs partnership between Ross Taylor and Tom Latham changed the game, which is also the highest partnership by New Zealand against India in ODI. Their partnership has also broken the record of highest 4th Wicket partnership in ODI cricket.
