IPL 2017 Match 41 KKR vs RPS: Preview, Prediction and Head to Head

Eden Gardens, Kolkata will host the 41st match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 which will be played between home team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) on 3rd May. Dew factor will come into consideration during toss and batting second will be preferred by the captains.

Kolkata Knight Riders are at second on the IPL 2017 points table with 14 points in 10 matches (7 wins and 3 losses). Kolkata Knight Riders lost its last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 48 runs. KKR was not able to chase down the mammoth total of 207. It was David Warner who single-handedly attacked the KKR bowlers and took to the total with scoring 126 runs in 59 balls. KKR batsmen came under pressure and gave wicket at regular interval. While Kolkata Knight Riders has not seen team change from long time; it is to see will this loss make any changes. Otherwise team is looking well as a unit.

Rising Pune Supergiant had bounced back in the tournament after losing three in four matches and then won next five matches out of six. Rising Pune Superiant managed to be in top four currently in fourth position in points table making 4 points difference with Kings XI Punjab that is at the fifth position. Imran Tahir has become the center of Pune’s bowling unit. Washington Sundar’s 1-2 early overs help the skipper to get more options on the board. Jaydev Unadkat has been the wicket taking bowler. In last match RPS were 10/3 in 1.3 overs and top 4 batsman only scored 14 runs; crumbling of top order will be concerned for RPS. Ben Stokes and MS Dhoni came for the rescue and Stokes made 103 in 63 balls to lead RPS to victory. Changes can be seen in playing XI, at the top order batsman.
